NO PRESSURE
What to Expect in Your First Session
Your first lesson is your first chance to get to Joseph, and vice versa. Joseph creates a safe, comfortable, confidential environment, and his sessions are always very casual and no-pressure. There is also a lot of laughing in his sessions, so be prepared to laugh.
He'll want to review your vocal background, goals, and unique artistic journey. There are no wrong answers, as long as they are honest!
Toward the end of your session, Joseph usually likes to hear you sing something. It can be anything: some people come prepared to sing along to a karaoke track they've found on YouTube; others sing "Happy Birthday" a cappella. "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," works, too! Don't overthink this part. It's more about how you approach the performance than the vocal delivery; Joseph will already have known everything he needs to know about your instrument in the first few seconds of your conversation, so the song performance should really just be a moment for you to have fun singing.
