PLACES!: The Kristin Chenoweth Tour Experience is a traveling, music-education + audience-engagement program I created and produced in collaboration with Kristin Chenoweth. Part backstage pass, part masterclass, part professional performance experience, PLACES! turns select tour stops into learning labs—pairing soundcheck access, mini-workshops, and celebrity singer Q&A with show-specific storytelling, vocal prep, and stagecraft.
As producer and creative director, I designed the format, curriculum, visuals, and run-of-show so it can bolt onto major concert dates without disrupting the tour machine. The initiative debuted alongside Kristin Chenoweth's triumphal return to the Hollywood Bowl, giving students and emerging artists a structured way to observe professional rehearsal flow, demystify “places” calls, and connect technique to performance moments they’ll see that night. The result: an unforgettable bridge between the classroom and the concert stage—authentic, inspiring, and repeatable.
Bam.
Forming a cross-functional collaboration with client’s nonprofit for arts education and her touring company, I conceived this concert segment to be an educational workshop/once-in-a-lifetime experience where select music students from local conservatories, universities, and colleges perform onstage with Kristin Chenoweth during her concert tour. Students have a private coaching with the Music Director and Chenoweth prior to the rehearsal and live performance, plus they get a rare and intimate backstage view of the inner workings of a professional concert tour. Workshop fees support the Kristin Chenoweth Arts and Education Fund.
Consistently the biggest show-stopping element of the show, ”Places!” has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Ms. Chenoweth’s nonprofit, has provided national awareness of the organization and its mission, and has contributed to Ms. Chenoweth's reputation as a proponent for arts integration into the US public school system.
